This grant will be used by NIOSH to develop a virtual safety consultant app that will introduce residential construction workers to hazards they may face on job-sites. The app will provide a low-cost way to ensure worker safety based on NIOSH research and OSHA regulations and will be available for both smart phone and online (web) use. Topics will include roofing, dry walling, counter top installation and many others.
Key deliverables include:
- Final virtual safety consultant mobile app for small residential construction businesses
- Model for effective delivery of workplace safety and health apps to small residential construction businesses
